The Scissorfists Clan originated as a group of slaves who had managed to escape their captivity on the planet of Dathomir. Their name came from the Scissorfist, a sizable crustacean species native to that world. A long-standing conflict existed between the Scissorfists and the Blue Coral Divers Clan, a rival group also residing near the ocean. Following a prolonged period of hostility, the two clans attempted to resolve their disputes via a formal negotiation. Regrettably, these discussions failed to produce a lasting agreement, leading to a continuation of their ongoing animosity.
