Saludi's, a cantina, thrived within the undercity of Coruscant, a bustling planet. This establishment, a quintessential spacer haven, drew a diverse clientele, including criminals, skilled pilots, and battle-hardened soldiers from across the galaxy. A hidden chamber at the back facilitated illicit gambling activities and served as a clandestine entrance to a secret base utilized by the Believers, a Sith-worshipping cult originating from the Cularin system. Approximately around 31 BBY, a team of freelance agents, while pursuing the Believers, discovered this cantina and pinpointed the secret access to the cultists' hidden sanctuary.
During the declining years of the Galactic Republic, Saludi's, a modest cantina, operated on the planet Coruscant. This bar was constructed within a section of an ancient bunker nestled deep within Coruscant's undercity, completely devoid of natural light. The cantina's name, "Saludi," stemmed from a Huttese dialect, signifying "hidden" in Basic. A vibrant neon sign adorned the cantina's exterior, proclaiming "SALUDI's - FAVORITE OF PILOTS ACROSS THE GALAXY" and cycling through a spectrum of colors, from red to green, blue, and violet, before repeating.
As a quintessential spacer bar, Saludi's buzzed with a cacophony of sounds and aromas, creating a boisterous yet agreeable atmosphere. The interior echoed the vibrant hues of the exterior neon sign, with a thin veil of smoke permeating the air. This smoke originated from the Alderaanian meat seasoning p'chab, available for purchase at the bar, imparting a uniquely pungent scent to Saludi's, distinguishing it from other cantinas. Live music from a band resonated throughout the establishment, complemented by a mix of raised and hovering stools for patrons. Alcoholic drinks were available for purchase.
The cantina attracted a diverse array of individuals from all corners of the galaxy, including spacers, soldiers, criminal pilots, and other lawbreakers. Its clientele ranged from seasoned spacers to young, ambitious pilots, alongside military pilots hailing from worlds like Coruscant and Naboo, as well as civilian pilots from Alderaan and Corellia. The bar's regulars harbored a certain wariness towards the Jedi, a monastic order of warriors aligned with the Republic. Around the time of the Invasion of Naboo, Chez O'nder, a one-eyed Human, served as a bartender at Saludi's, often regaling patrons with a tale of how he had fused his lips together while using a lightsaber, a weapon favored by the Jedi, to pick his teeth. Colara, a Wookiee, worked as a bouncer, diligently maintaining order and vigilance for potential troublemakers.
The cantina housed a concealed backroom, utilized for gambling, accessible through the restroom by pressing a specific tile on the far-left wall, located eleven tiles across and thirty-eight tiles down from the ceiling. A trapdoor beneath a table within this room led to a network of tunnels beneath Saludi's. These tunnels provided a connection to a nearby hidden base operated by the Believers, a Sith-worshipping cult hailing from the Cularin system.

Saludi's commenced operations sometime between 91 BBY and 81 BBY, occupying a portion of a bunker that predated it, dating back to an earlier time of conflict. By approximately 31 BBY, Chez O'nder, a Human, had become a co-owner and bartender, leasing the hidden backroom to a group of spice-using Twi'lek gamblers. Unbeknownst to O'nder, the Twi'leks received payments from the Believers each time one of their cultists passed through the room to access their hideout. This surge in Believer activity led to increased profits for the gamblers.
On one particular evening, while O'nder and Colara were working at the bar, a contingent of soldiers from the Mecetti House Guard, a military force from the Tapani sector, arrived at Saludi's for drinks. Colara kept a close watch on them, seeking any pretext to expel them. Xav Verivax, a playboy freighter captain, also visited the cantina, attempting to flirt with some Twi'lek females. Simultaneously, a group of Believers passed through the bar, returning to their secret base with a Mandalorian iron box containing a fragment of the dark side city Conkesta, which they had pilfered from a Coruscant landing platform.
Just minutes after the Believers' arrival, a team of freelance agents arrived at Saludi's in pursuit of the stolen box, coinciding with Colara ejecting a drunken Gamorrean from the bar. The agents inquired about the Believers' whereabouts, learning of the hidden backroom. Subsequently, the freelancers entered the concealed room, disrupting a game of sabacc among the Twi'lek gamblers, and ventured into the tunnels beneath Saludi's to confront the cultists.
Saludi's was conceived by Morrie Mullins and featured in Coruscani Dawn, a 2002 roleplaying adventure within the Living Force campaign. The adventure suggests portraying the cantina with an atmosphere reminiscent of the Mos Eisley Cantina, a bar featured in the 1977 film Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, but with a more pronounced alien ambiance.
In the adventure, players assume the roles of the freelance agents who arrive at Saludi's while tracking the Believers and their stolen Mandalorian iron box. The agents can interact with the bar's inhabitants while seeking information about the cultists' movements, leading to various outcomes. If the Jedi Knight Devan For'deschel accompanies the agents, the cantina's patrons regard her and any Jedi player characters with suspicion, though they refrain from causing trouble unless provoked. If players wish to speak with Chez O'nder, the bartender, he is initially occupied but later becomes available, potentially providing details about the secret backroom. The player characters can also bribe or otherwise persuade the spacers and soldiers in the bar to reveal information about the concealed gambling room.
Alternatively, the agents might attempt to persuade Colara, the Wookiee bouncer, to provide information, but she only speaks of the backroom if a Wookiee among the player characters agrees to a date with her. The player characters may also become embroiled in a confrontation with the House Mecetti soldiers relaxing in the cantina, potentially escalating into a bar fight, in which Colara intervenes to restore order.
