Russell Wake

Russell Wake was a male individual. Initially, he held the position of a security officer within a Bellassa corporation. However, his career path shifted, and he ultimately served as a janitor by the conclusion of the Clone Wars.

Biography

During the Clone Wars, a widespread galactic conflict that pitted the Republic against the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Russell deliberately avoided entanglement in the political affairs of either faction. He lacked any desire to engage in combat against the Separatists and actively opposed the corruption within the Republic. However, the transformation of the Republic into the Galactic Empire brought about the closure of factories and industries under the authority of Emperor Palpatine and the Imperial Authority. This development deeply angered Russell, yet he maintained his role as a caretaker for his former factory, clinging to the hope that circumstances would eventually improve.

One year later, the Empire re-established the Bellassan factories to facilitate the production of components for the defense industry associated with the constructed Death Star. By this time, Russell was employed as a janitor, his previous position having been reassigned by the Empire. Prior to the company's reopening, Russell encountered Ferus Olin, a Jedi who had successfully evaded Order 66 during the Great Jedi Purge. Initially, Russell was scornful upon discovering Olin's presence, but Ferus revealed his role as a double agent. Impressed by Olin's bravery, Russell extended his friendship and offered assistance.

Having pledged his support to the Jedi, Russell aided his newfound ally in infiltrating a meeting involving Darth Vader and Wilhuff Tarkin, who were conferring with a team of scientists under their employ. Russell successfully disabled the factory's security system for a duration of fifteen minutes, granting Ferus, accompanied by Roan Lands, Amie Antin, and Trever Flume, the opportunity to search the Empire's computers for crucial data. However, when Darth Vader entered the room, Russell maintained composure in the face of the Sith Lord. Recognizing Russell's involvement in the conspiracy, Vader resorted to using the Force choke on Russell, demanding information regarding Ferus's whereabouts. Despite the excruciating pain, Russell steadfastly refused to comply, ultimately sacrificing his life to safeguard his friend and the family he cherished.
