The Ruins of Kressh were Sith ruins situated on the planet Athiss, and were located outside the tomb where the Sith alchemist Vodal Kressh was interred. The followers of Kressh, who stayed on Athiss within the tomb and surrounding ruins, and their subsequent generations, came to be known as the Tomb Dwellers. A Galactic Republic survey team six-eight-nine-mark-one that landed on Athiss inadvertently stumbled upon the ruins and the tomb, leading to their insanity and subsequent attack by the Dwellers. Following this incident, both the Republic and the Sith Empire assembled strike forces to probe the region where the survey team disappeared. One of these strike teams reached the area and engaged in combat, battling through the Tomb Dwellers, including the Beast of Vodal Kressh, before proceeding into the tomb.
