A presentation of the Surveillance Post's design.
Located within the frigid, mountainous terrain of Radra IV, the Radra Surveillance Post functioned as a basic passive sensor outpost for the Rebel Alliance. It accommodated a small team of eight individuals: four specialized mechanics and four soldiers assigned as guards. Under the leadership of Commander Darnak, its primary function on Radra IV was to observe the activities of the Imperial forces present on the planet. Access to the post was possible either through an ice cave entrance or via a concealed sentry point positioned on the rocky, snow-covered terrain above. During standard operations, infrared and motion-detecting sensors were strategically placed at both entry points to alert the personnel of any unauthorized access.
The central hub of the post was the operations room (designated as A on the layout), housing the passive sensor equipment and a compact power generator that supplied energy to the entire facility. Hatches situated on opposite sides provided pathways to both the ice cave hangar bay and the access tunnel leading to the sentry position (marked as B on the layout), accessible via a ladder. Connecting the two hatches was a tunnel that led to the common area (identified as C on the layout), which included four shared living quarters, a communal relaxation zone, and a refresher facility.
An incident occurred when a contingent of Rebels arrived at the post aboard the Starhound seeking supplies, only to be met with an assault by a snowtroopers squad. Despite the Rebels' attempts to defend the base, the overwhelming number of troopers forced the entire crew of the post to evacuate using the Starhound.
