C9-T9-GE3 participated in racing events as a droid. Racing droids were a class of droid designed for competitive racing. Darga Jiramma Mionne, a Hutt crime lord, tasked a smuggling vessel working for him to procure advanced droid interface tech from the fringes of the Unknown Regions. Darga then commanded his mechanics to utilize this technology to produce toys for his own enjoyment. The outcome of this project was a collection of racing droids, controlled remotely with a visor that gave the operator the droid's perspective. Darga promoted races among his court members within a track located inside his palace on Cato Neimoidia, a planet, and he generously rewarded the race victors.
