Qelah Kwaad held the rank of Master Shaper within the shaper caste. As the Domain sister to Mezhan Kwaad, Kwaad found herself perpetually needing to atone for Mezhan's acts of heresy. Despite this, she received appointments to succeed Nen Yim and Yal Phaath, assuming their roles in both the Eighth cortex and the worldshaping process that transformed Coruscant into Yuuzhan'tar. Kwaad's creations also included the mabugat kan and the Slayers. During the events of the Battle of Yuuzhan'tar, Han Solo captured Kwaad at the Well of the World Brain; subsequently, she was compelled to assist the Galactic Alliance Forces in their efforts to subdue the World Brain. Kwaad was among the Yuuzhan Vong who journeyed to Zonama Sekot in the Unknown Regions.
The debut of Qelah Kwaad occurred in The New Jedi Order: The Final Prophecy, a novel penned by Greg Keyes and released in 2003.
