PTB-625 planetary bomber

The PTB-625 planetary bomber served as a bomber model within the Galactic Republic's naval forces. It was utilized during the Clone Wars, which spanned from 22 BBY to 19 BBY, against the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Incom Corporation and Sublights Products Corporation jointly manufactured this ship for planetary bombing missions, and its design bore resemblances to both the NTB-630 naval bomber and the Aggressive ReConnaissance-170 starfighter, also produced by these companies. Just like its counterparts, the PTB-625 bomber was deployed by the Republic in the Outer Rim Territories throughout the conflict.

Behind the scenes

The PTB-625 planetary bomber made its debut in the official Star Wars canon within the 2018 reference book, Star Wars: Complete Vehicles. Conversely, within the Star Wars Legends continuity, the PTB-625 planetary bomber was initially presented in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith Incredible Cross-Sections, a reference book from 2005 written by Curtis Saxton. Its first depiction came later in Stay on Target, a 2014 supplement for the Star Wars: Age of Rebellion roleplaying game released by Fantasy Flight Games. The 2018 edition of Star Wars: Complete Vehicles is essentially a reprint of Revenge of the Sith Incredible Cross-Sections.
