The power core on a large starship
A power core was essentially an energy source, providing power for a starship. It also supplied energy to droids, for instance, astromech droids. The famous Millennium Falcon utilized a Quadex power core for its energy needs. A standard YT-2400 light freighter came equipped with a power core whose energy production was almost double that of other starship models within the YT-series.
