The Pouffra system existed within the Rolion sector, which itself was situated in the Trans-Hydian region of the Outer Rim Territories. Notably, it contained the Pouffra Circuit, a generally secure Podracing track for amateurs where the then-novice racer Ben Quadinaros once competed.
The system of Pouffra first appeared in The Essential Atlas, a reference book from 2009 created by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, pinpointing its location as grid square Q-7. A map depicting the galaxy, featured in the "This Is Podracing: Sports in the Star Wars Galaxy, Part 1" article by Tim Veekhoven and Sander de Lange that was released on StarWars.com on March 26, 2014, mistakenly showed the system residing in the Mid Rim.
