Following the introduction of the Plug-F Mammoth Podracer, the Gargantua model outperformed the former in terms of sales.
Following the defeat and subsequent destruction of Sebulba's Mammoth Podracer during the Boonta Eve Classic in 32 BBY, the Dug acquired the podracer constructed and piloted by Anakin Skywalker to secure his victory. However, his offspring Hekula wrecked it, and Skywalker eventually recovered the remains. Subsequently, Sebulba procured a new Gargantua. The Dug frequently raced with it, notably using it against Skywalker's reconstructed Radon-Ulzer at the Boonta Eve Classic of 24 BBY.
