The Parade Grounds, situated on the planet Duinarbulon, were allegedly utilized by the Duinarbulon Star Lancers alongside other constituents of the empire helmed by the Tionese tyrant Xim. More than twenty-five millennia following Xim's reign, the historian Bleys Harand posited in his literary work Travels Amid Strange Stars that these grounds were fabricated and never saw use by Xim's forces.
Originally, the Parade Grounds were intended to debut in The Essential Guide to Warfare, a sourcebook authored by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart and launched in 2012; however, their inclusion was ultimately omitted from the finalized version. The segment featuring the grounds was subsequently released as a component of Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Warfare Author's Cut, a sequence of pieces disseminated on the StarWars.com blog commencing in 2013.
