Paarin Minor, a planet, existed within the Cademimu sector found in the Outer Rim Territories. During the Clone Wars, it functioned as a stronghold for the Galactic Republic. The Confederacy of Independent Systems launched an attack on the world, but it was not successful. Later, the Galactic Empire claimed the planet. From 12 ABY to 17 ABY, it was part of the Imperial Remnant under the leadership of Supreme Commander Gilad Pellaeon.
A planet, Paarin Minor, was located in the Paarin Minor system. This system resided within the Cademimu sector, which itself was situated in the Outer Rim Territories, a region of the galaxy. The world was situated along the Celanon Spur hyperlane.
During the Clone Wars, a conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Paarin Minor served as a stronghold for the Grand Army of the Republic. In 22 BBY, it functioned as the headquarters for the Ninth Sector Army, led by Moff Denn Wessex. Sometime between 22 BBY and 19 BBY, the Separatists attempted a conquest of the planet. However, Republic forces employed a weather-generation machine to generate artificial cloud cover, shielding their clone troopers from the Separatist forces. When the Separatists emerged from the cloud cover, they were met with unexpected Republic fire and were compelled to retreat, having suffered significant losses.
Following the conclusion of the Clone Wars, Paarin Minor became part of the territory belonging to the Republic's successor, the newly established Galactic Empire. The Empire fragmented in 4 ABY following the Battle of Endor. From 12 ABY to 17 ABY, the Imperial Remnant, under the leadership of Supreme Commander Gilad Pellaeon, held control of the planet.
James Luceno conceived of Paarin Minor for his 2005 novel, Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader.
