The Orto Culinary Academy, a place of culinary learning, existed on the planet of Orto. Following the death of Robbs Ely, Strono Tuggs made Ely's recipes available to the Academy, where they were studied by numerous aspiring chefs. Tuggs had the opinion that Ely's legacy would endure, placing him among renowned culinary figures like Jlibbous and Gormaanda; however, he also felt that formal education at "the Orto" wasn't essential for mastering the art of cooking.
The short story titled "A Recipe for Death" provided the initial reference to the Orto Culinary Academy. Within the Star Wars Legends storyline, Gormaanda received the Orto Culinary Academy Award for Engorgable Excellence on three separate occasions.
