Olhak the Reaver

Olhak the Reaver was a Taung serving as a general during the conflict known as the Zhell–Taung War between the Taung and the Zhell. Some of the exploits of this general were immortalized in the Taung epic poem Dha Werda Verda, a work that celebrated their triumph over the Battalions of Zhell at the Battle of Great Zhell. Many millennia following the composition of Dha Werda Verda, the characters and events it depicted were widely known by the inhabitants of Norton, which was later renamed Coruscant. In 2 BBY, the historian Hu Jibwe referenced Olhak the Reaver within an article published in Imperial Center Today, a periodical, regarding the aforementioned ancient poem.

Behind the scenes

The character of Olhak the Reaver was initially conceived for inclusion in The Essential Guide to Warfare, a book authored by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart that was published in 2012, but ultimately, the general's inclusion was omitted. The section intended to feature Olhak the Reaver was subsequently released as part of Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Warfare Author's Cut, a series of articles that were serially published on the StarWars.com blog beginning in 2013. The article does not specify Olhak's gender.
