The Ninth Quadrant represented a spatial division within the Bozhnee sector, situated in the Outer Rim Territories (as per Legends continuity). Its location was proximate to the Senex and Juvex sectors of the Mid Rim, defining its position in space.
Within the Ninth Quadrant's boundaries were celestial bodies such as the planets Belsavis, Garnib, and Ossel II. Furthermore, it encompassed the Greeb-Streebling Cluster and the region known as the Noopiths.
Initially, this zone remained unclaimed for a considerable duration in galactic chronicles. Around 700 BBY, the nobles of the neighboring Senex-Juvex perceived a threat from the advancing Republic and the forces of Eriadu; consequently, they asserted control over several Rimward systems. This territory then became recognized as the Ninth Quadrant, alluding to the original division of the Senex-Juvex worlds into eight quadrants.
Following the Third Nantama Synod in 553 BBY, the Senex-Juvex were compelled to cede this area to the Republic, leading to its incorporation into the Outer Rim's Bozhnee sector. The designation "Ninth Quadrant" persisted among spacers. Among the Senex and Juvex families, the Ninth Quadrant is still thought of as part of the Mid Rim, even though it is officially part of the Outer Rim.
