Model MGL-1

The Model MGL-1 represented a specific variant of micro-grenade launcher, engineered by Locris Syndicates. Its purpose was to enable the rapid deployment of Micro-grenades, demanding only basic user instruction. Functionally, it could be affixed to a rifle or employed independently as a distinct weapon system.

Functioning akin to a gauss weapon, the MGL-1 utilized magnetic rings to launch each grenade at considerable speed while maintaining a tight grouping. Integrated with a computerized system, its accuracy was enhanced via a target identification mechanism. This, coupled with its negligible recoil and silent firing, rendered it a preferred tool among bounty hunters. A key maintenance requirement, however, involved periodic replacement of the magnetic rings; failure to do so would result in operational failures, specifically causing the launcher to seize and trap a live grenade within the barrel.
