Model CR-28 flame cannon

The CR-28 flame cannon model, produced by Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc., represented an upscaled variant of the standard flamethrower, boasting an extended reach, elevated heat output, and an increased capacity for fuel.

Description

As the most substantial flame projection device available, the CR-28 flame cannon was primarily employed by military forces. Due to its size and power, the CR-28 necessitated deployment from a steady, stationary base, typically affixed to vehicles or supported by a tripod. It utilized a unique fuel cartridge as its ammunition source. While designed for short-range engagements, its impact was extremely destructive. This weapon discharged a substantial cone of fire, extending 18 meters in length and spanning 12 meters in width at its furthest point. The cost to replace the tanks for the flame cannon was 600 credits, with each weighing 20 kilograms.

A comparable flame-based weapon, known as the CZ-28 Flamestrike flame cannon, was manufactured by Czerka Arms.

History

The Corporate Sector Authority integrated the CR-28 onto their land-based vehicles for deployment in their harsh crowd control operations.
