Mission to Antiquity

The Mission to Antiquity represents a failed endeavor by the New Republic. Its objective was the capture of an Imperial Colonel located on the world of Antiquity during the era of the Galactic Civil War.

Background

A group of smuggler were contracted to transport four individuals to the city of Lis'an situated on the planet of Antiquity. These passengers were, in fact, New Republic commandos attempting a covert infiltration of the planet. Their aim was to apprehend an Imperial female Colonel who had been in hiding on Antiquity since the Battle of Endor. The smugglers remained unaware of the true nature of the commando's assignment.

The mission

Upon the New Republic commando's arrival in Lis'an, they discovered that the Colonel had already departed the city. Consequently, they informed the smugglers that their services would be required for an extended period.

During their downtime, the smugglers encountered a Zarian confidence trickster named Woetar. He had previously cheated one of the smugglers at a game of sabacc some months prior.

Woetar and "the courier" discuss the modalities of her evacuation.

He had been tasked with transporting a package from the city of Karren, but his ship was surrounded by disgruntled former clients. He offered credits to the smugglers in exchange for transporting him to Karren. The smugglers agreed and, subsequently, were attacked by the ex-customers, who were a group of thugs. The smugglers successfully fought them off and departed for Karren. Upon landing, Woetar directed the smugglers to the Twin Scales tavern. Eventually, the smugglers were introduced to a female courier, who requested transport to an orbiting ship. This courier was, in reality, the Imperial Colonel they were looking for.

The group made their way back to the spaceport, only to find the police had surrounded their ship. Their YT-2550 eventually ascended into orbit, where it was intercepted by two vessels. One was a Carrack-class cruiser emerging from hyperspace, and the other was a modified freighter originating from the planet. The New Republic commandos aboard the freighter demanded that the smugglers land immediately. However, the Imperial cruiser engaged the freighter, allowing the smugglers to deliver the courier to the cruiser. They were subsequently compensated by Imperial officers.

Aftermath

Several hours later, back in Lis'a, a very unhappy group of passengers returned to the smuggler's ship. One of them was overheard complaining that their commando mission had been ruined by some "no good spacers" piloting an unidentified ship.
