The Master in Violet was a Zabrak woman, identified as female, who held the position of leader among the Five Masters on Cularin. Approximately one year prior to the Clone Wars, she accepted Barnab Chistor as her apprentice, imparting to him specialized exercises and meditation practices that significantly improved the Governor's physical and mental well-being. Speculation arose regarding a possible intimate connection between them, although neither publicly displayed any affection.
An expert in the K'thri martial arts, the Master in Violet instructed her followers within the Violet Gallery. Following the Clone Wars, the Five Masters Academy came under assault by an unidentified adversary, leaving the Master in Violet as the sole surviving member of the organization. Chistor discovered her in combat with the attacker, an indistinct figure too fast to be clearly seen. Unable to devise an effective countermeasure, Chistor employed a weapon originally designed to combat General Grievous, firing it at the shadowy form. The resulting explosion allowed the attacker to flee into the jungle, although the Master in Violet managed to survive. Tragically, the corpses of her students were resurrected, forcing them to battle their way out of the Violet Gallery. They retreated into the jungle, vanishing from sight thereafter.
