Mary was a student of the Cerean species who studied at the Jedi academy located on Coruscant.
She received a pair of year-end accolades in The Padawan Observer. Her peers selected her for "Most Likely to Lose Hair," referencing her prominent forehead. Furthermore, because she rarely speaks throughout the series, her fellow students also voted her "Quietest Classmate," earning her another year-end award in The Padawan Observer. We do not know the specific reason for her head shape, but it is presumed to be a characteristic of the Cerean species.
First Year:
In the initial installment, Jedi Academy, after Ronald Rinzler wins the Student Council presidency, Mary is identified as the council's secretary. During a vote on the school dance theme, she proposes several ideas, ultimately suggesting a lightsaber theme. Ronald objects, citing its previous use, but Silva supports Mary's suggestion, resulting in a two-to-one vote in favor.
Second Year
In the second book, Return of the Padawan, she appears in some of Roan Novachez's classes, such as the incident where Roan inadvertently hits Cronah in the face with a book while practicing the Force. She is not given any speaking parts in the second book. She is also present during the Food fight at the cantina.
Final Year
During her final year at the Jedi academy, she is visibly defeated by Lilly in the dodgeball game, even though her team appears to have significantly more members than Roan's. She is present during the incident at the talent show, when Vorpee is cloned. She is not seen after this point; however, given her lack of disciplinary issues, it is reasonable to assume she successfully graduated from the Jedi academy and continued her path toward becoming a Jedi.
