Marit Dice

Marit Dice was a female Human student from the planet of Hali. She attended the prestigious Leadership School on Andara in the time before the Clone Wars.

Biography

Within a clandestine group of student mercenaries training at the school, Marit served as their expert on galactic politics and history. Furthermore, she conducted research into proposals submitted by various individuals and organizations across the galaxy, all seeking the squad's services. These proposals were then subject to a vote. Other individuals in the group included Gillam Tarturi, Rolai Frac, Tulah, Hurana, and Ze.

Marit formed a friendship with Jedi Padawan Anakin Skywalker, who was present to investigate the students and determine if they were connected to the abduction of Senator Berm Tarturi's son, Gillam. Initially, Anakin's interest was piqued when she playfully pilfered his treasured river stone, which he did eventually recover. Subsequently, Marit extended an invitation to the undercover "transfer student" to participate in a friendly swoop-bike race on campus, with the aim of assessing his capabilities and suitability as a potential mercenary comrade.

During a group operation on Ieria, Gillam and the others feigned acceptance of Skywalker into their ranks, although Marit believed his induction was genuine. Gillam, disregarding Marit's objections, then made an attempt to assassinate Skywalker, but Anakin single-handedly overcame all six mercenaries. Marit successfully convinced Tulah, Hurana, and Ze that Gillam had deceived them and was exploiting them for personal vengeance, rather than pursuing justice. Anakin, along with Siri Tachi, Ferus Olin, and Obi-Wan Kenobi, transported the squad to Coruscant for interrogation, with the goal of unraveling the web of lies, betrayals, and criminal actions that had transpired within the group.

On a previous mission, before her encounter with Anakin, Marit inadvertently caused the death of the leader of Tierell during a confrontation with a security force. She later expressed her regret to Skywalker, stating that she had unexpectedly been forced to engage in violence.
