Maris Gen was the proprietor of "The Underground", a drinking establishment, specifically a cantina, situated on the planet Tilnes. As a Rodian, he preferred dwelling in the subterranean passages. A severe allergy to sunlight plagued him; exposure for longer than a minute resulted in skin flaking. The mottled appearance of his visible skin, marked by both light and dark areas, served as visible evidence of this affliction.
He closely monitored the dialogues taking place within his cantina. Very little escaped his notice, and whenever captivating exchanges occurred, beverages were promptly replenished.
