The Mandalorian Knights were once Jedi Masters who, during the era of the Mandalorian Wars, disobeyed the directives of the Jedi High Council. Instead, they chose to engage the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders in combat under the leadership of the Jedi known as Revan. However, diverging from the Revanchists, these disobedient masters began to secretly undermine the war efforts of the Galactic Republic under the guidance of Dorjander Kace, a former council member with unorthodox views. Kace and his adherents, having developed a belief in the irredeemable corruption of the Republic, embraced the Mandalorian way of life. These knights are known for their orange-bladed lightsabers.
After his expulsion from the Jedi High Council, Dorjander Kace reached the determination that the Galactic Republic was beyond saving due to its corruption. He also believed that the Mandalorians were significantly better suited to rule the galaxy. Kace gathered a group of like-minded Jedi Knights and Masters, and for a short time, he acted as a double agent in the Mandalorian Wars. He appeared to be part of Revan's movement, but his true intentions were exposed by the Jedi Padawan Zayne Carrick. Ultimately, Kace and his newly formed Mandalorian Knights allied themselves with Mandalore the Ultimate and his Neo-Crusaders, effectively becoming the Mandalorian equivalent to the Jedi Order in the conflict. During their long-awaited infiltration of the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine in 3962 BBY, the Mandalorian Knights surrendered and were sent back to the Core Worlds to face trial.
