As retribution for an uprising against Imperial rule, the Galactic Empire eradicated the native population and subsequently repurposed the world as a prison planet for runaway Wookiees. In 3 ABY, the system's Imperial Governor, Io Desnand, devised a scheme to orchestrate an assault on the penal settlement, aiming to lure Rebel vessels into a rescue operation. However, Desnand's strategy was thwarted when Tinian I'att and the Wookiee Chenlambec rescued the incarcerated Wookiees.
