Liana Liberators

The Liana Liberators were a group of slicers active during the era of the Clone Wars.

History

This group was formed at the University of Liana and consisted of five individuals: three male and two female Humans. Holding anarchist beliefs, they aimed to expose the shortcomings of the Galactic Republic to the rest of the galaxy by hacking into Republic systems. As the Clone Wars progressed, their activities shifted to industrial espionage and undermining the Republic's war efforts, leading to active pursuit by Republic agents and the bounty hunter Shiana Trist.

The Liberators journeyed to the Cularin system, where they chartered the yacht Perihelion from Cularin Star Tours. To do so, they impersonated members of the Alderaanian Biological Research Institute, assuming the identities of P. Dantari, K. Antilles, H. Starfinder, T. Orini, and L. Raine. Their plan involved targeting the Cularin Government and the Almas Academy to steal confidential data. However, mynocks attacked the yacht, prompting the Liberators to call for assistance from the CST safety vessel Starchaser IV. The Starchaser IV rescued them, remaining unaware of their true identities. Subsequently, the Liberators proceeded to CMC-3, an abandoned mining installation located in the Cularin asteroid belt. Acting on information provided by Shiana Trist, the Starchaser tracked the Liberators to the facility, resulting in a confrontation between them and the Perihelion. The Liberators had also brought some of the facility's systems online, including a powerful cutting beam and a tractor beam, to aid them in the ensuing battle.
