Lesser Plooriod Cluster

The Lesser Plooriod Cluster, a star cluster, encompassed the Urce sector and shared a designation similar to the Plooriod Cluster. During the Republic Era, a hyperspace route traversing the Urce sector was mapped. This route was utilized by Ithorians originating from the planet Ithor, and was subsequently charted by the Trade Federation.

During 28 BBY, the Ithorians endeavored to publicly release the map detailing this hyperspace route. This was proposed in a motion presented before the Senate of the Galactic Republic. Supreme Chancellor Palpatine initiated a debate on the Senate floor, providing an opportunity for a human senator and a Trade Federation delegate to present counter-arguments against the Ithorian senator who introduced the initiative. Senator Padmé Amidala cast her vote in support of the motion, reflecting on the fact that the inhabitants of the Urce sector only possessed a claim to a portion of the route, while the Ithorians had been utilizing it for a considerable period before the Trade Federation's mapping efforts. Despite this, the motion was ultimately unsuccessful.
