Lena requested an escort from the Jedi Council as she traveled to give her testimony before the Galactic Senate. Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn were sent by the Council, and they aided Lena in collecting the necessary proof. Nevertheless, Lena almost lost her life due to an unexpected act of treachery by her mother-in-law, Zanita. Obi-Wan, who had become enamored with Lena from the mission's beginning, stopped the attack.
