Plot summary

While searching for Cade Skywalker, Imperial Agent Morrigan Corde forges an uneasy alliance with the Sith operative, Jor Torlin. Together, they embark on a mission to locate Cade Skywalker, but their initial objective involves sabotaging the diplomatic talks between the Empire-in-exile and the Galactic Alliance Remnant, which are aimed at forming an alliance against Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire. Employing Command Override Limpet Droids to seize control of the Empire-in-Exile vessel, they orchestrate an assault on the GA's fleet. This act of aggression precipitates a conflict aboard The Wheel, effectively terminating the negotiations. With their sabotage successfully executed, Corde and Torlin proceed to Ossus in their pursuit of Skywalker. Upon their arrival, Torlin attempts to eliminate Corde by shooting her in the back. However, he discovers that, during his period of unconsciousness on the Wheel, Corde had secretly administered a "nerve toxin" to him, which she then activated as he fired upon her, resulting in his death. Following this, Corde experiences a flashback involving Kol Skywalker and their son, Cade. Subsequently, she resolves to abandon her mission and departs, commandeering Torlin's personal Gladius-class light freighter, known as the Raider.
