The Land Port served as an industrial sector within Black Spire Outpost, situated on the planet of Batuu. Functioning as the terrestrial entrance to the outpost, the Land Port accommodated travelers arriving via various means, including on foot, atop creatures, or within ground-based vehicles. Within its boundaries were located Black Spire Station, Droid Depot, where those newly arriving could get service for their vehicles or droids, and Savi's Workshop.
In comparison to other sectors of the outpost, the port exhibited a more unrefined character, and its roadways were not as well-maintained. It served as a connector between the Black Spire Outpost Market and the adjacent forest, which also contained the Black Spire Ruins. During 34 ABY, the Resistance operated a base within these ruins during the war that transpired between the First Order and the Resistance.
The Land Port's conception was part of the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge project, a themed area within theme parks. It first welcomed visitors on May 31, 2019 at Disneyland Park, followed by August 29, 2019, at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
