Kuna's Scale, a supergiant star, held significance for the Ayrou, the native species of the planet Maya Kovel within the Moddell sector. They regarded it as a component of the Kuna constellation. While most stars of this constellation resided in the Moddell sector close to Maya Kovel, Kuna's Scale, alongside Kuna's Gullet and Kuna's Heart, stood apart. These three luminous stars, despite seeming close to the rest of the constellation, were actually positioned in neighboring sectors or even in Wild Space.
The ninth issue of the Star Wars Gamer magazine, released on February 22, 2002, featured an article titled "Endor and the Moddell Sector," where Kuna's Scale received its initial mention.
