Krev Coeur, a planet, existed within the Tython system situated in the Deep Core region of the galaxy. This world's environment was intensely hot and dry, making survival impossible for unprotected life-forms. Inactive volcanoes dotted Krev Coeur's surface, which also contained abundant blue crystals. Conversely, a sprawling network of caverns, lakes, and jungles thrived beneath the arid surface. Non–Force-sensitive settlers from Tython initiated Krev Coeur's colonization more than a millennium following 36,453 BBY. In 25,793 BBY, the Je'daii exile Daegen Lok and the Force Hound Xesh journeyed to Krev Coeur with the intention of acquiring a crystal needed to construct a Forcesaber. Their starfighter, however, suffered a crash landing, necessitating their descent to the planet's surface via parachutes.
Positioned at galactic coordinates L-10 within the Tython system of the Deep Core region of the galaxy, Krev Coeur was a planet without any moons. It orbited Tythos, its sun, as the fourth orbital body. While Krev Coeur possessed a breathable atmosphere, its extreme heat and aridity rendered the surface uninhabitable without protection. The landscape was characterized by dormant volcanoes and a significant quantity of blue crystals. In stark contrast, a completely different ecosystem flourished underground, where rain nourished an extensive system of caverns and lakes. Unique and unusual plants prospered within the cave jungles.

Over a millennium after 36,453 BBY, non–Force-sensitive settlers from Tython, the fifth planet in its system, initiated the colonization of Krev Coeur during their travels to nearby worlds. In 25,793 BBY, Daegen Lok, an exiled Human Je'daii, intended for the Force Hound Xesh, also Human, to use Krev Coeur's crystalline materials to construct a Forcesaber for Lok. To achieve this, Lok and Xesh journeyed to the planet aboard a Pho-V fighter that Lok had discovered on Bogan, a moon. However, their [starfighter](/article/starfighter-legends] suffered a crash, compelling Lok and Xesh to abandon ship. Deploying parachutes, they managed to land safely in an area abundant with crystals.
Krev Coeur was initially depicted in the Tython entry within The Holonet, a feature of the official website for Star Wars: The Old Republic, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game from 2011 developed by BioWare. The planet was shown in a schematic representation of the Tython system. Since its inception in 2008, The Old Republic's website has undergone multiple revisions, leading to the removal of certain original features and images, including the aforementioned schematic. The name Krev Coeur, along with supplementary details, appeared in Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi 0, a preview edition of the Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi comic books series. This issue, written by John Ostrander and illustrated by Jan Duursema, was released on February 1, 2012. The planet also received mentions in the first and sixth issues of the series, and its first in-universe appearance occurred in the seventh issue, published on February 15, November 28, and December 19 of 2012, respectively. The name Krev Coeur appears to be derived from the French phrase "crève-cœur," which translates to "heartbreak."
