The Kokash sector, situated in the Galactic Core, was located near the Farlax sector and found itself nestled between both the Haldeen sector and the Mondress sector. Despite its location within charted regions of space, complete exploration of the sector remained incomplete, even during the era of the New Republic.
Politically speaking, the Kokash sector was integrated into the Galactic Republic by the year 27 BBY. The Outbound Flight mission traversed the Kokash sector during its journey departing from Yaga Minor, before proceeding through the Mondress sector and the Albanin sector on its way into the Unknown Regions.
Following this, during the reign of the Galactic Empire, the Kokash sector was incorporated into the operational area controlled by the Black Sword Command.
As late as 17 ABY, the Kokash sector still lacked complete exploration by Galactic society. It is possible that it encompassed the location of the Morath Nebula and served as the native region of the Morath.
The Kokash sector might potentially be an alternate designation for the Hatawa sector, considering both sectors are mentioned alongside the Farlax sector when delineating the territorial jurisdiction of the Black Sword Command.
Nevertheless, it is important to differentiate it from Kojash, which is a planet situated within the Koornacht Cluster located inside of the Farlax sector.
