Kidnapping of Hoxie

During the Gungan tribal war on the planet of Naboo, which occurred around 3000 BBY, Boss Hoxie of Otoh Raban city was taken hostage. The species' conflict saw warlord Boss Rogoe's forces seize Hoxie. Rogoe's motive was to perpetuate the Gungan tribal conflicts, enabling him to enslave members of the smaller tribes for his own gain. Hoxie was imprisoned in Rogoe's stronghold, situated to the north of Otoh Raban, while his people continued to fight without their leader.

Soon after the kidnapping, Boss Gallo, a Gungan working to unify the tribes against Rogoe, arrived at Otoh Raban in search of an alliance. A resident of the city informed him about Hoxie's capture, promising that the Gungans of Otoh Raban would support Gallo's cause if their boss was rescued. Subsequently, Gallo attacked the stronghold with his army, liberating Hoxie and securing the loyalty of both him and his tribe.
