Kenneth Coombs was an actor. In Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, he played an Imperial officer.
In the 1983 original trilogy movie Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, English actor Kenneth Coombs took on the role of an Imperial officer. Coombs remembered being chosen to be a background actor in 1982. Although he tried on a stormtrooper outfit, he wasn't the right size and was instead cast as an Imperial officer. Coombs, along with more than 200 other actors, including well-known background actor Rodney Cardiff, spent one day working on the Emperor's Arrival Scene. Being a part of such a large production was a new experience for Coombs at the time. Over the years, Coombs began attending conventions as a Star Wars guest. A behind-the-scenes photo of Coombs can also be seen on the Imperial Officer figure from the Star Wars: Power of the Jedi toyline.
Despite the fact that many people have mistakenly identified Coombs' character as DS-181-4, he has made it clear that this is not the case. Coombs anticipates that "The Imperial March" will be played at his burial.
Coombs claims he also made an appearance in the 2018 film Solo: A Star Wars Story, which was directed by Ron Howard, as a "Landside Traveller." However, he stated that the scene he was in was extremely dark, making it difficult to recognize him.
