Kelita valley

The Kelita valley, a lush river valley, was located on the Outer Rim world of Mandalore. This broad, shallow valley, situated in Mandalore's northern hemisphere, featured thick woodlands, expanses of cultivated farmland, and distinctive circular, fortified Mandalorian homesteads. Numerous tributaries crisscrossed the Kelita valley, all flowing into the primary Kelita River that coursed towards Keldabe, the capital city of Mandalore. Bralsin, a small suburb of Keldabe, was perched on a slope overlooking one side of the Kelita valley.

During the invasion of the galaxy by the extra-galactic Yuuzhan Vong, Mandalore was attacked in retaliation for the Mandalorians' resistance. The Kelita valley sustained considerable devastation as a result. Over a decade following the battle, large portions of the valley remained dead, the land poisoned by the Yuuzhan Vong's actions.

In 41 ABY, Jedi Knight [Jaina Solo](/article/jaina_solo_fel], while on Mandalore to discover how to defeat her Sith Lord brother, Darth Caedus, met with Gotab, the former Jedi who had become a Mandalorian, near Bralsin. Their meeting occurred on a granite hill that provided a view of the Kelita valley. Solo sought the wisdom of the elderly man, who had experience in both the Old Jedi Order and the Mandalorian warrior culture, for guidance on dealing with her fallen brother. As they conversed, they appreciated the picturesque scenery of the valley and observed flocks of flying avians inhabiting the area.
