The Kaon Security represented the planetary security force that protected Kaon throughout the time of the Old Republic. The members of Kaon Security consisted of troopers, commandos, and officers. Furthermore, they utilized security droids like the Kaon Sentinels Mk. III and KR-82 Expulsers.
The Kaon Security enacted a quarantine of the planet and attempted to manage the crisis during the rakghoul plague outbreak that occurred on Kaon in 3639 BBY. However, despite the arrival of backup from the Republic and the Imperial forces, the Kaon Security soldiers were utterly defeated. The majority were either slain or transformed into rakghouls, including Major Byzal.
