Jowart Typok, formerly affiliated with the Interplanetary Charts and Surveys, was compelled to depart due to exploration budget constraints imposed by the Imperial regime. Ironically, he later lauded these budget cuts, as they led him to the highly profitable profession of big-game hunting. He derived satisfaction from his work, relishing the act of eliminating vulnerable creatures from a distance, and amassed considerable wealth through the sale of rare trophies to wealthy collectors and members of the nobility. His financial resources, along with his influential relationships, enabled him to acquire permits for carrying specialized weaponry, hunting protected species, and engaging in illicit commerce. He enhanced his physical capabilities with cybernetic augmentations, notably the Neuro-Saav Corporation's Cardio-Muscular Package and the Hi-Sense Enhanced Eyes. He was known for wielding a customized blaster rifle known as the "bantha cannon," and he operated his personal vehicle, the Reptor.
During the era of the Galactic Civil War, Typok was discovered on Entooine, engaged in the pursuit of Blue banthas for their distinctive horns. While hunting on Entooine, he donned a white thermal suit and dark goggles. On one particular hunt, a contingent of Rebels encountered him. Despite his attempts to engage them from a distance using his blaster, they succeeded in injuring him, forcing him to escape aboard the Reptor. Although he managed to return to his starship, piloted by his associate Jes Flon, the Rebels ultimately succeeded in bringing his ship down.
