Jothel Merritt, a Grueshite arms dealer of the male persuasion, began his career as an associate of Ponda Baba. Jodo Kast, a bounty hunter, offered Baba half of Merritt's bounty; the Aqualish unhesitatingly turned on his comrade and aided Kast in his capture.
