Jord Dusat, a speeder racer, operated during the early period of the Galactic Empire. Alongside his comrade and competitor Thall Joben, he found himself in possession of the droids C-3PO and R2-D2 after they became separated from Raymus Antilles. Known for his rebellious nature and tendency to stir up trouble, Jord also possessed a generally cheerful disposition, frequently delivering humorous remarks.
Dusat honed his racing skills on the desolate salt flats of his homeworld, Ingo. He established a bond with fellow racer Joben, eventually partnering with him to create a speeder repair business. Together, Joben and Dusat commenced the construction of White Witch, a speeder intended for participation in the Boonta Speeder Race. While traversing the Ingo desert, Joben and Dusat encountered R2-D2 and C-3PO, who had been abandoned by their previous owner shortly before his arrest for illicit activities. Given that White Witch required an astromech droid to support the driver, R2-D2 proved to be the perfect fit, leading Joben and Dusat to become the droids' new owners.
During their return journey with the droids, the racers inadvertently passed near a clandestine base where the Fromm Gang was developing a weapons satellite known as Trigon One, with the intention of using it to overthrow rival gangs. Fearing the intruders would expose the base's location, Tig Fromm deployed sentry droids to engage them. However, the two racers managed to escape with the assistance of Kea Moll, who was on a mission to locate and neutralize Trigon One.

After agreeing to aid Kea in her objective, they successfully infiltrated the secret base and commandeered Trigon One. Joben concealed the weapons satellite within an Ingo forest, but when Sise Fromm abducted Dusat and Kea's mother, he conceded to reveal its location in exchange for their freedom. Tig Fromm proceeded to retrieve Trigon One, but Joben and R2-D2 had sabotaged the guidance system, causing the ship to collide with and destroy Sise Fromm's base on Annoo.
The group then journeyed to the Boonta Speeder Race, but a Fromm assault on their vessel damaged White Witch and injured Dusat, compelling Joben to assume the role of driver for the race. Despite the efforts of Boba Fett, who had been hired by Sise Fromm to eliminate the young racers, Joben emerged victorious.
Following the race, Joben and Dusat were approached by Zebulon Dak, the proprietor of Zebulon Dak Speeder Corporation, who extended offers for them to design and engineer speeders. Given that company policy mandated a memory wipe for R2-D2 and C-3PO, they opted to decline the positions. Not wanting to impede their masters' aspirations, R2-D2 and C-3PO departed in an escape pod shortly before their ship entered hyperspace, thereby enabling Joben and Dusat to accept the job offers.
