Joh Steen held the position of captain aboard Transport A-175, a ship belonging to the Red Star Shipping Lines. While Steen was traveling from the Nopces system to link up with a convoy within the Brentaal system, he came across what seemed to be a genuine Imperial Navy Nebulon-B frigate, and he followed all of its orders. However, the frigate was actually the Alliance Privateer ship known as Far Orbit, and Steen's error in judgment led to the loss of his cargo, which consisted of power cells and power system parts valued at around 35 million credits.
