Joey Orsel was a male Human who lived during the era of the Galactic Republic. He boarded a pleasure cruiser bound for Alderaan, which was captained by Captain Quasar. Aboard the ship was Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi, accompanied by his protocol droid, 68-RKO. Orsel, known for his intense hatred of droids, confronted 68-RKO and demanded its departure while also directing insults at Kenobi. The Jedi reacted by causing Orsel to trip, sending him crashing through a card table. Enraged, Orsel produced a dagger and ambushed Kenobi from behind. However, Kenobi swiftly ignited his lightsaber, impaling Orsel without even turning around.
The sole appearance of Joey Orsel within the Star Wars Legends storyline occurred in Star Wars (1977) 24, which was penned by Mary Jo Duffy and published in 1979. The illustrations of Orsel were created by Carmine Infantino.
