Behind the scenes

Possible depictions of Jespral Farandan
Randomly generated female depictions, deemed non-canon in Legends continuity

In the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, Jespral Farandan appeared as a non-player character. This massively multiplayer online roleplaying game was created by Sony Online Entertainment and brought to the public by LucasArts. The game's servers were shut down on December 15, 2011. Because of the way many quests were designed in Star Wars Galaxies during its earlier years, Jespral Farandan's species and physical appearance would change each time a player took on the quest he was involved in. While Bren Kingal's dialogue in the quest indicated that Farandan was male, there was no mention of his species. As a result, Farandan's canonical species is still unknown, although he could have been a Human, a Twi'lek, or any other number of humanoid species. Furthermore, although the quest dialogue did not mention it, an examination of Farandan in the game revealed that he was a sharpshooter. This designation, however, was primarily due to the game's mechanics, as Farandan was generated using a randomized sharpshooter template.
