The Jawa-produced beer was known as a harsh beverage suitable for travel, created through the fermentation of grains along with bantha hide. Its appearance was characterized by a brownish colored tint.
This beverage was available in cantinas located on Tatooine, and it was also shipped to various other worlds throughout the galaxy.
The 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game created by Sony Online Entertainment and brought to market by LucasArts, featured Jawa beer. The game's servers were taken offline on December 15, 2011. Within the game, Jawa beer was an item that could be bought from bartenders within the various cantinas found across the galaxy. Interestingly, the same visual representation used for Jawa beer was also applied to other in-game items, such as fruit fizz.
