The Iska system existed within the Iska sector, which itself was part of the Mid Rim region. This system served as the place where the Iska pirates first emerged. By the year 17 BBY, the Separatist holdouts controlled this region.
The 2009 book titled The Essential Atlas, authored by Daniel Wallace together with [Jason Fry], was the first time the Iska system was mentioned. It was located in sector K-17 according to the book.
