The Imperial Crematorium, situated on Coruscant, was a dome-shaped structure employed for the cremation of deceased soldiers who had dead.
Sometime after the Clone Wars concluded, Headmaster Gentis observed the Crematorium while attending a military council session at Imperial Center. He noted that each transport was carrying twenty deceased soldiers from the Imperial Military for cremation. As the New Order of the Galactic Empire progressed, the number of officers and troopers reduced to ash neared one hundred. This led Gentis to the conviction that Emperor Palpatine had to be deposed to lessen the fatalities resulting from his unending conflict.
During the Ghost Prison emergency, Headmaster Gentis initiated his coup and attempted to assassinate the Emperor. During this period, he sought to convince an Imperial General to support his cause, and he observed the Crematorium while recalling the genesis of his scheme. The Headmaster remarked that it would not be long before they too were facing the Imperial Crematorium's incinerator as a consequence of Palpatine's wars.
