Howe Walwahd was a Mon Calamari woman, an independent sailor navigating the waters of Lamaredd.
A 222 fishing trawler belonging to Bartyn Gourmet Delicacies collided with and wrecked her vessel. Furthermore, the incident resulted in the loss of one of her legs, which she replaced with a prosthetic.
Compelled to find alternative employment, Walwahd took a position as a dockmaster at Bartyn's Landing, begrudgingly under the employ of Guther Bartyn, the proprietor of Bartyn Gourmet Delicacies. Harboring resentment towards the Bartyn family name, she was discourteous to virtually all Bartyn employees. Despite her attitude, she diligently documented any significant occurrences during her watch, notably including the sighting of Menahuuns.
In the year 29 BBY, Walwahd was on duty when Menahuuns were discovered aboard Bartyn's heavily guarded yacht, the Tria Blue. Following the demise of Bartyn's security personnel, Walwahd requested both medical assistance and a mortuary speeder before potentially meeting her own end at the hands of the Menahuuns during their assault.
Moreover, Walwahd maintained contact with a cousin who was employed on a private trawler operating out of Cape Regret for many years.
