House Valorum, sometimes called the Valorum dynasty, was a well-regarded human family from the Core World of Coruscant, which was the capital of the Galactic Republic. This family, native to Coruscant, wielded significant power in the galaxy, particularly on the planet Eriadu, and possessed a shipping company. One member of this family was Tarsus Valorum.
Approximately a millennium prior to the Clone Wars, after the fall of the Old Republic, Tarsus Valorum became the first Supreme Chancellor of the contemporary Galactic Republic, specifically around the year 1032 BBY. Finis Valorum, a direct descendant of Tarsus Valorum, held the office of Chancellor just before Palpatine. His second term in office was truncated due to the Invasion of Naboo, leading to Sheev Palpatine's election as Finis's replacement in 32 BBY.
