Historiography
As a field of academic study, Historiography was familiar to the Jedi Order. During the High Republic Era, Jedi Padawans studied it at the Jedi Temple located on the planet Coruscant in the Core Worlds. Jedi Master Jora Malli left Coruscant for the Starlight Beacon space station situated in the Outer Rim in 232 BBY. Her Padawan, Reath Silas, postponed his own departure to the station by a few weeks to finish the historiography course's exams he was taking. He thought about deliberately failing the exams to remain on Coruscant because he didn't want to go, but he couldn't go through with it.
The young-adult novel The High Republic: Into the Dark, which Claudia Gray penned in 2021 as part of Phase I of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project, referenced Historiography. Historiography in the real world is a discipline that examines how history is written, involving the integration of reliable sources into a cohesive account.
