Hid Toqema, a gray-skinned Twi'lek, was employed by Daedalus Gas Mines and stationed in Friz Harammel. The Daedala family, a Twi'lek clan that owned and operated Daedalus, recruited almost a hundred Twi'lek engineers, Toqema among them, to labor at Friz Harammel as a component of a "cultural unity" initiative originating from their native planet.
For a considerable duration, Toqema participated in the creation of thermal gas registers; however, as age took its toll and he became less efficient, he was reassigned to the role of maintenance supervisor on a less prominent sublevel of the gas mines complex. He was content with his new role, finding it relaxing and appreciating the absence of complaints about his work style, yet he believed in his greater abilities and contemplated when he would be promoted to a managerial role.
